PDAC Caracle Cup Hockey Tournament

Don’t miss the first annual PDAC-Caracle Cup Hockey Tournament which will take place on Saturday, March 1, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Ice Gardens Complex, Toronto. The tournament will include six teams, playing in a round-robin format culminating in a championship game. Participants from all aspects of the industry and all skill levels will compete for the honour of having their name forever enshrined on the Caracle Cup, generously donated by Caracle Creek International Consulting Inc. (CCIC). Scott Jobin-Bevans, Managing Director of CCIC explains: “This brand new initiative has been launched to help bring together people from the industry in a fun, casual atmosphere. We look forward to the tournament becoming an annual favourite at the PDAC convention”.

The full complement of six teams have been signed up and all indications point to this being a fantastic tournament. The IBK Capital Corp. “Ring of Fire:” team will consist of players representing the McFauld’s Lake nickel play in Northern Ontario. A force to be reckoned with are the “Nishnawbe Rock” who’s lineup will include AFN National Chief Phil Fontaine and rumours of ex-NHL’er Brian Trottier. Aquiline Resource’s South American focused team is sure to bring some surprises but is not to be out done by the Broadview Hawks, an Australian Rules Football club bringing their down-under skills. The teams are rounded out by legal representation from Irwin Professional Corp. and tournament favourites CCIC.

Complimentary transportation will be provided by a shuttle service running all day between the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and the Ice Gardens, so come out and cheer on your favourite team!
