A bulk sample from the Donalda gold property near Rouyn-Noranda, Que., has yielded 4,300 oz. and gross revenue of $2.1 million.
Orco Resources (ME) says 19,147 tonnes were milled in a flotation circuit at the Norbec mill of Metall Mining (TSE). An average grade of 7.43 grams per tonne (0.24 oz. per ton) was obtained, with an average recovery of 94%. Orco says the operating cost for the sample, including contract milling, was $65 per tonne.
It expects to complete its evaluation of the property at the beginning of March, 1994, after which time a production decision will be made. Orco is working the property under an agreement with Donalda owners Metall and Thunderwood Resources (TSE).
