Business Development Manager

Targeting corporate customer headquarters for the mining and mineral industry, you will contact Senior-level individuals responsible for expansion projects and new developments to sell specialty mining chemicals on both a specific mine site and company-wide basis.

Your creativity and perseverance will ensure your success in this role. You are a Metallurgical Engineer and have honed your engineering and presentation skills within the corporate areas of the mining industry. Project Geochemist (Halifax)

You will be responsible for geoscientific project work in mineral exploration geochemistry and environmental geochemistry. Responsibilities include: project initiation and planning; evaluating scientific methodology of field sampling, data collection, processing and presentation; conducting appropriate office and laboratory investigations; communicating sound concepts and interpretation to users in publishable departmental and external maps, reports, digital products, and technical presentations including mineral exploration promotion.

Bachelor of Science in area of earth or geosciences plus 5 years related experience; or master’s plus 4 years related experience; or doctorate plus 2 years related experience.

Pay Level: (PR 15) $43,178-$52,632

Mill Manager

Our client is the world leader in the production of calcium carbonate products. On behalf of their rapidly expanding Ontario operation, we are seeking an experienced Manager.

Reporting to the General manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for the entire production of several mills as well as ongoing capital expenditure projects.

The ideal candidate is a mechanical engineer with several years of operations experience in the heavy industry. Expertise in maximizing production at a minimum cost, planning for continuous shifts, and participating in labor negotiations is required. Candidates must also have experience with major capital projects and in a supervisory capacity in a unionized environment.

A high degree of analytical capability, above-average communication skills and the ability to delegate tasks as well as work under pressure will be some of the outstanding characteristics of the selected candidate.
