This episode features an interview with Nadine Miller, an Independent Non-Executive Director for Wesdome Gold Mines and a Strategic Advisor at Awz Ventures Inc. Awz is a Canadian hub for investments in cybersecurity, intelligence and physical security AI-based technologies from Israel, a global leader in these sectors. Awz manages US$100 million between its first two venture capital funds. The interview is conducted by The Northern Miner’s acting editor-in-chief Trish Saywell.

Nadine warns of the perils of loose cybersecurity and the ability of hackers to infect processing plants with malware. She also emphasizes the need for more collaboration between startups and mining companies, describing it as an ‘opportune time’ to foster new relationships.
