Students are invited to submit papers to a writing contest, which is sponsored by the Marine Minerals Technology Center (MMTC). Topics should pertain to advanced technology applications for marine minerals development. Emphasis is on the application of innovative concepts.
The winner will receive a cash prize of $500 at the annual Underwater Mining Institute convention Nov. 7-9 in Estes Park, Colo.
Entries must reach MMTC by Aug. 15. They should be typed and 2,000-4,000 words in length.
