THE DIAMOND PAGE — Ashton discovers new kimberlite at Cross

Spring drilling at the Cross property in the Northwest Territories’ Slave province has encountered kimberlite.

Ashton Mining of Canada (TSE) made the find while drilling the second hole at the Orion indicator mineral anomaly. Angled at 45!, the hole intersected kimberlite between a drilled depth of 112-175 ft.

A follow-up hole was steepened to 64! and intersected kimberlite between 143 and 315 ft. Drill information to date indicates the Orion kimberlite has a complex geometry.

Drilling is continuing in an attempt to collect a 1-tonne sample for diamond analysis, at which point work will shift to the Winnie anomaly.

Ashton can earn a 51% interest in each kimberlite discovery from partners Tenajon Resources (VSE) and Pure Gold Resources (TSE) by providing for all costs up to, and including, a 20-tonne bulk sample.
