Partners Westmin Resources (TSE) and Tenajon Resources (VSE) are reviewing results of underground drilling completed last year on the SB property, near Stewart, B.C.
The program, which consisted of 85 holes totaling 1,967.5 metres, was completed from two sublevels within the Kansas-West Kansas zone. The work was aimed at testing about 50 metres of the zone’s strike and succeeded in outlining a large, low-grade mineralized area with numerous high-grade intersections. The partners say drill data must be reviewed thoroughly before the potential economics of the zone can be established. To provide access for drilling, about 283 metres of drifting and raising were carried out. A total of 2,647 tonnes of this material
was milled in two batches through the adjacent Premier mill, owned and operated by Westmin.
Test milling yielded 256 oz. gold, which Tenajon says is about 20% higher than predicted. Net revenue from the first mill run was $11,070, while that for the second was about $21,390.
Westmin is operator of SB, a joint venture held equally with Tenajon. The property is 30 km north of Stewart and accessible by road.
