Tribal conflict in Rwanda is not affecting the pace of work on the Kabanga and Kagera projects in neighboring Tanzania, reports Sutton Resources (TSE).
Partner BHP Minerals is carrying out a US$4-million program on the two concessions, situated in the African country’s nickel belt. New anomalies will be tested at Kagera and drilling will also follow up on the nickel-cobalt intercepts obtained from a 6-mile-long anomaly. At Kabanga, drilling is aimed at determining the extent of previously obtained nickel-cobalt values some 3,000 ft. north of the main Kabanga deposit.
Sutton also has a drill program under way at the Marudi concession in southern Guyana. The US$1.5-million program involves 40,000 ft. of core drilling on the Marudi and Mazoa gold deposits.
