Three adjacent properties in the Douay area, about 20 km northeast of Joutel, Que., are the subject of agreements between Societe d’Exploration Miniere Vior (ME) and Soquem, the Quebec Crown mining exploration company.
Under the agreements, which are subject to regulatory approval, Soquem may earn a 50% interest by investing a total of $2.35 million during the next five years.
The agreements, negotiated under Quebec’s Mining Exploration Incentive Program, cover the Joutel property, owned 100% by Vior; the Douay-West property, which surrounds Vior’s Douay-West gold deposit but does not include the deposit; and property Vior has optioned from Northern Abitibi Corp. (Soquem may earn 50% of Vior’s interest in this property.)
