NEWS ROUNDUP — Columbia postpones drill program

Plans for a large-scale drill program at the Spectrum gold property were postponed by Columbia Gold Mines (VSE) in order to conserve working capital during current depressed market conditions.

The junior drilled six exploratory holes this year on the northwestern British Columbia property, three within the East Creek zone and three on the 500 Color zone.

The first hole on the East Creek zone returned 8.5 ft. grading 1.0 oz. gold per ton at a depth of 150 ft., while the two remaining holes returned anomalous but uneconomic gold values.

The three holes drilled in the 500 Color zone intersected 137.7 ft. of 0.01 oz. gold and 0.12% copper, 96.4 ft. of 0.02 oz. gold and 0.17% copper, and 153.4 ft. of 0.02 oz. gold and 0.185 copper.

Columbia is seeking joint venture participation in the Spectrum and Tillicum gold projects in British Columbia, and is also seeking new property acquisitions.
