Nebex schedules Northbelt work

A drill rig has been moved to the Northbelt property in the Mackenzie division of the Northwest Territories to undertake a 4-hole, 3,000-ft. program, Nebex Resources (ASE) reports.

Nebex can earn a 50% interest in the gold property from Royal Oak Mines. At the Walsh Lake gold property, 10 miles north of Yellowknife, N.W.T., two holes on the Sam Otto zone were laid out to intersect the Main zone at a vertical depth of 500 ft. However, because of the flattening of both drill holes, the 40-ft.-wide zone was intersected at a vertical depth of 375-400 ft. The company says more deep drilling is warranted. Further work has been suspended, however, while Nebex considers alternative drilling methods.
