Manor outlines new gold zones

A trenching program has outlined several new gold zones on Manor Resources’ (ASE) 194-claim Virginia property near Gander, Nfld. Trenching was carried out to evaluate four zones that had been delineated by geophysical and soil surveys.

Although zones 1 and 2 could not be trenched due to overburden and access problems, a 115-ft.-wide sheared gabbro and graphitic slate zone with quartz-veining was discovered between these zones. Grab samples from this location assayed up to 0.26 oz. gold per ton. Another shear zone in gabbro, 115 ft. to the north, yielded grab sample values up to 3.5 oz. gold. Trenching around zone 2 intersected sheared and quartz-veined material with low gold and minor stibnite values.

The company is planning a follow-up trenching program to further evaluate the new occurrences and other zones on the property.
