LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Kennecott deals Labrador properties to Noront

Vancouver-listed junior Noront Resources has acquired three Labrador properties from Kennecott Canada. Two of the three claim blocks are situtated west of Okak Bay, while the third lies 9 km west of the recently discovered copper-nickel-cobalt prospect of Canadian States Resources (CDN). Kennecott retains 50% back-in rights on the claims.

Meanwhile, Castle Rock Exploration (VSE) has located and sampled two gossans on the Noront 7 property. Noront recently granted Castle Rock a 50% option on the property. The most prominent gossan consists of disseminated to semi-massive pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite exposed for 300 metres. The second gossan carries local, semi-massive concentrations of pyrrhotite with minor chalcopyrite. Samples have been submitted for analysis, and an airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey is under way over the entire property.
