The president of the Mining Association of British Columbia, Gary Livingstone, will speak at a Nov. 29 meeting hosted by the Vancouver branch of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum.
Livingstone will discuss how the mining industry can maintain its image in the face of crisis. The speaker believes the potential of the industry in British Columbia remains high, despite the fact that it is facing severe pressure in the province.
The talk will focus on the need to improve the attitude of government toward mining, in the hope of ensuring that government does not neglect mining issues.
