Three industry leaders will discuss the technology of profitability at the 117th annual meeting of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers (aime) set for Jan 25, 1988, at Phoenix, Ariz.
The meeting will be conducted on the first day of the annual meeting and exhibit of the Society of Mining Engineers, which will run until Jan 28.
The aime keynote session will feature B. R. Brown, president of Consolidation Coal, Robert Calman, chairman of Echo Bay Mines, and G. Robert Durham, chairman and president of Phelps Dodge.
The 4-day meeting and exhibit will feature 71 sessions, including eight on coal. Three specialty symposia will concentrate on the history of mining in Arizona; column flotation and environmental quality; risk management, compliance and business opportunities.
