Drilling is under way on the Lewis Ponds property in southeastern Australia, reports Tri Origin Exploration (TSE).
The 1,000-metre program will consist of widely spaced stepout holes around hole TLPD-4, which returned 4.23% zinc, 2.55% lead, 3.77 grams gold per tonne and 125 grams silver over 20.5 metres (T.N.M., June 22/92).
Tri Origin has also established a surface grid two kilometres north of hole TLPD-4 to test a previously unexplored part of the property. At the Sault gold property near Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., sulphide zones have been exposed in 10 of 11 trenches in six different target areas. Tri Origin plans to sample and drill the zones next spring. On another property, south of Timmins, Ont., a 30-km geophysical (IP) survey is under way.
