DIAMOND NEWS — Radisson steps up diamond search in Central African Republic

To accelerate its search for diamonds in the Central African Republic, Radisson Mining Resources (ME) has acquired two diver-operated mining systems.

The new equipment will be used to recover diamonds, other precious stones and gold from the bed of the Lobaye River, which flows through Radisson’s mining concessions.

The company holds more than 100,000 acres in the country, including diamond-bearing placer deposits.

Radisson’s executive vice-president, Guy Parent, says the equipment will allow the company to prepare for sampling of the Lobaye River bed and nearby diamond placers.

The machinery consists of two pumping systems, classifiers and jigs.
