Canada will be well represented at next month’s Geotechnica trade show for geosciences and technology in Cologne, Germany.
The country will, in fact, be the second-largest foreign exhibitor, with more than 20 Canadian firms and agencies on view. Also, several academics from this country have been invited to lecture.
Canada is a leader in exploration and remote-sensing systems and tools. The first such show, in 1991, generated $18-20 million in followup sales for Canadian exhibitors, according to the ProFairs travel consortium. About 500 exhibitors from 14 countries will attend the event, May 5-8. On display will be information-gathering and cartographical systems, including those used for collecting data from space via satellite.
