Recently acquiring 24 claims near Dog Pond in south-central Newfoundland was Bitech Energy Resources of Toronto. The agreement calls for a 2% net smelter return and is subject to regulatory approval.
President James Wade reports the claims have undergone modest exploration by others.
Bitech also owns 64 claims in the Bett’s Cove area on the Baie Verte Peninsula of Newfoundland. Results from a program of reconnaissance mapping and geochemical sampling are awaited by the company.
