Atna appoints new president

David Watkins has been named president and CEO of Atna Resources (ATN-T). Former President Peter Delancy will assume the role of chairman.

Watkins was formerly president of Cyprus Exploration & Development and senior vice-president of Cyprus Amax Minerals. Cyprus was recently acquired by Phelps Dodge (PD-N).

Watkins is a geologist with more than 30 years of experience in exploration and mining.
