Mosquito Consolidated Gold Mines(MSQ-T) has hired three companies to conduct a feasibility test at its Cumo molybdenum-copper project, in south-central Idaho, 15 km southwest of Idaho City.
For the project’s scoping, prefeasibilty and feasibility studies, the company has hired Tucson, Arizona- based M3 Engineering.
As part of the contract M3 will confirm the economic potential of the project, examine permitting and suggest locations for the mine, mill, tailings and other waste. M3 will also establish cultural and transportation requirements.
After the initial studies and mine plan areconfirmed, M3 will produce a bankable feasibility study for the project.
Mosquito has hired SGS Metallurgy to look at the project’s geometallurgical aspects. The study will examine mill specifications, including concentrates and tailing analysis, grind sizes, reagent usage, and flotation circuit configuration.
SGS will use a 3.5-tonne bulk sample and 100 individual 20-kg samples from existing and future drill core for the metallurgical tests.
Forsgren Associates, based in Boise, Idaho, will prepare a study on the feasibility of generating low-impact hydroelectricity in the project area, develop an integrated water management plan, and offer advice during the permitting process.
