EXPLORATION ’95 — Cyprus exploring Southwin

Having made its 1995 option payment, Cyprus Canada will continue exploring Noble Peak Resources’ (ASE) Southwin gold project in the Northwest Territories.

Later this year, Cyprus will carry out a US$400,000 program of surface drilling to follow up on work completed in 1994.

Much of the work will focus on the Cache zone, which extends to a depth of 985 ft., averages 98 ft. in width and has a known strike length of 820 ft. Some of the better drill results from last year include 0.186 oz. gold per ton over 99.7 ft. in hole S94-39, 0.249 oz. over 35.4 ft. in S94-38 and 0.071 oz. over 40.7 ft. in S94-37. Many other significant assays were encountered, and all holes intersected visible gold.

The 1995 program will concentrate on expanding the Cache zone along strike. In addition, exploration will be carried out on newly acquired claims adjacent to the Cache and Mac zones.
