Newmont Gold (NGC-N) and its 35% partner, La Teko Resources (LAORF-Q), have completed summer drilling at the True North gold deposit in the Fairbanks district of Alaska.
The more than 80 holes drilled continued to intersect mineralization in the Central zone, between the Hindenburg and Shepard zones. The contiguous mineralized structure covers an area 5,000 ft. long and up to 2,000 ft. wide.
The deposit is open in all directions.
La Teko believes the deposit contains greater than 2 million oz. gold.
In addition to the drilling, four crews are continuing to cover the 6,000-acre property with a soil geochemical survey, the results of which have already identified two new anomalies.
Highlights from the drilling are listed below.
