Letter to the Editor Economic principles

For many times over the last 20 years, I have appreciated the editorials of The Northern Miner, but the one titled “Wasting our assets” (N.M., Nov 7/88) is excessively ” a propos” for all of us Canadians, particularly for us, the few mining people.

Even some of us in the mining business are too often unconscious of our grand role and vocation as nation builders. I do especially approve the following sentence of the editorial: “The crime is in wasting those assets by leaving them unexploited.”
