Dynacor increases Acari production

Dynacor Mines (DYN-M) has responded to improved gold prices by increasing production at the Acari mine in Peru.

The company can increase its interest to 80% from 70% by spending US$263,788. During the first nine months of 1999, the Acari plant ran at only 52% of its capacity, producing 2647 oz. gold form ore averaging 0.4 oz. per ton. Recoveries averaged 90%.

Production is expected to reach full capacity by December, at which point the plant will be turning out 650 oz. per month. Total production for the current year is pegged at 4,200 oz.
