Encouraging trenching results from the Santoy Lake gold property in northern Saskatchewan were reported by joint venture partners Claude Resources (TSE) and Manchester Resources (ASE).
Two zones have been trenched and worked for bulk samples: 1,400 lb. of material were extracted from zone 2 and 670 lb. from zone 6. Both zones have been traced for about 550 ft. and remain open.
The companies said zone 2 is highlighted by a folded portion averaging 0.56 oz. gold per ton over 27 ft., while zone 6 returned 0.91 oz. over 11 ft. Four other gold occurrences have been located on the property which lies five miles east of Claude’s Seabee gold mine project which hosts reserves of 1.14 million tons grading 0.4 oz. and was set to commence production Nov. 1.
