Montreal-based SNC-Lavalin recently signed a purchase agreement for 50% of the ByR Ingenieria y Construccion S.A. of Santiago, Chile.

ByR is an engineering-construction company with expertise in mining, metallurgical and other industrial projects. Active in Chile and other Latin American countries, ByR has an engineering staff of 200.
