Holmer resumes work in Timmins

Toronto-based Holmer Gold Mines (HGM-A) has resumed drilling at its gold property in Bristol Twp. near Timmins, Ont.

The current drill program is following up a gold discovery made in late 1996. Holmer will collar 6,000 metres of core as it tests for continuity of the mineralized body along strike and at depth, and targets several newly discovered geophysical anomalies.

The company recently obtained $6 million in financing, of which $2 million is earmarked for the Timmins project.
