Redaurum (TSE) says output reached 225,516 carats, thanks partly to the comissioning of the phase III plant.
In November alone, a 65-carat diamond was mined.
The company anticipates production of 500,000 for 1996 — more than twice the level reached last year.
Meanwhile, at Redaurum’s Kelsey Lake project in Colorado, processing of the 70,000-tonne stockpile of kimberlite will continue over the winter months. The material will serve to maintain processing operations until mining resumes in April, after the winter shutdown.
