Symposium to feature diamonds

The 18th annual Ontario mines and minerals symposium, to be held Dec. 11-12, will include sessions on diamond exploration and airborne geophysics, and present the research findings of the Ontario Geological Survey.

A public lecture, entitled “Meteorite Impacts on the Planets, Including Earth,” will be given on Dec. 11, by Virgil Sharpton of the Johnson Space Centre in Houston, Tex.

The diamond session will include talks by representatives of the exploration industry, the Geological Survey of Canada and the University of Toronto.
