World Wide drilling Nevada gold property

A 15,000-ft. rotary drill program has begun on World Wide Minerals’ (TSE) Easter gold project, 110 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. The property, which adjoins a major past producer, contains a primary vein structure more than 7,000-ft. long. Previous work by Homestake Mining (NYSE) outlined an open-pittable geological resource of almost 200,000 oz. gold to a depth of 200-ft. in the central or Main Vein portion of the structure. It is also reported that a single, deep hole encountered ore-grade mineralization below 700-ft.

During the current program, 30 holes will be drilled to delineate tonnage and grade on the Main Vein, which is about 1,600-ft. in length.

The Main Vein is contiguous with the East and west Veins on strike, and these two target areas will be tested by nine holes. A parallel structure to the north is sufficiently promising to warrant a 4-hole program. In addition, at least 10 holes are budgeted for in-fill drilling on the Main Vein.
