U.S. Hall of Fame to induct eight (August 15, 1994)

The National Mining Hall of Fame in the U.S. will welcome eight new members at its seventh induction banquet Sept. 18 in Phoenix, Ariz.

For the first time since the inaugural banquet in 1988, two of the inductees are living.

The keynote speaker at the banquet will be Stanley Dempsey, chairman of Royal Gold.

The new inductees will join the 110 individuals who have already had their engraved photos and biographies placed in the Hall of Fame facility at Leadville, Colo.
