U.S.A. gold excursion planned by CIM

A field trip to a number of operating gold mines in Utah and Nevada is being planned by the Toronto branch of the cim May 22-29. It will include the Mercur operation in Utah, Goldstrike in the Carolin belt of Nevada, the Foritude and McCoy mines in the Battle Mountain sector and the Paradise Peak at Gabbs, Nev.

Of interest to both technical members and mining industry associates as well as spouses, it will include a day in the Reno area for tourist visits to the historic mining camp at Virginia City and scenic Lake Tahoe.

Estimated cost for air and bus travel is $800(C) per person, with accommodation and meals extra.

The field trips will be limited to 40 participants.
