Teck to cancel Montgay option

Following a small drilling program on the Montgay property about 55 km northeast of Val d’Or, Que., Teck (TSE) indicated its intention to terminate the option, William Resources (ME) reports.

Previous operators outlined a small deposit of zinc and silver mineralization. Two Teck holes testing for a strike extension of the zinc deposit at depth did not intersect any significant mineralization. Another Teck hole testing downdip of the previously drilled deepest hole intersected the zinc zone to the west and at a greater depth, cutting 1.94% zinc over a true width of 8.5 metres.

Meanwhile, William recently completed a private placement worth $50,000 with Soquem involving shares and warrants.
