Legal action has been commenced against Richard Homburg, The Halifax Herald Ltd. and others claiming general damages for libel and slander, and special and punitive damages, TAP Capital (TSE) said.
TAP said the action relates primarily to statements con-tained in an article published June 25, 1991, in the Herald.
Homburg, a shareholder and former director of TAP, and Homburg Industries Ltd. had earlier announced the launching of a lawsuit against TAP alleging libel and claiming substantial damages.
