Sunridge Gold (SGC-V) has engaged Senet to conduct a feasibility study on its Debarwa copper-gold- zinc property in Eritrea. The Johannesburg-based design, engineering and construction firm has experience working in Eritrea at the Bisha mine for Nevsun Resources (NSU-T). Its expertise in processing and infrastructure will be complemented by AMC Consultants in mine design for the development of the Debarwa project.

The feasibility study will consider a standalone process plant using flotation for the recovery of the base and precious metals and will study various mining options over the forecast 9-year mine life. The study will further investigate a direct ship option of high-grade mineralization. The completion of this report is expected in the third quarter of 2011.

“Senet has been instrumental in building the first modern mine in Eritrea and has demonstrated their capabilities in engineering and construction of the Bisha mine,” said Scott Ansell, Sunridge’s vice-president of projects, in a press release.
