A new gold mineralized zone has been discovered by underground drilling at the Simkar gold project near Val d’Or, Que. The project is owned by partners R onrico Explorations (VSE) and Louvicourt Gold Mines (COATS).
The new find is 100 metres east of the mine workings in a structure called the East zone shear. Proven and probable reserves in the zone total 53,728 tonnes grading 8.85 grams gold per tonne (0.26 oz. gold per ton).
