Silver Standard boosts potential

Recent drilling by Silver Standard Resources (VSE) on the La Choya project in northern Mexico is reported to have outlined mineralization north and east of the project’s previously defined reserve of 2.1 million tons grading 0.044 oz. gold per ton. Silver Standard has an option to acquire a 100% controlling interest in the property from several parties for a total consideration of US$2 million and 800,000 Silver Standard common shares.

The best results from the recent drilling include: 89 ft. from 3-92 ft. grading 0.083 oz. gold; 13 ft. from 148-161 ft. of 0.59 oz. gold; 72 ft. from 131-203 ft. of 0.076 oz.; and 102 ft. from 0-102 ft. of 0.053 oz. gold.

Other selected results include: 46 ft. of 0.1 oz. gold; 26 ft. of 0.12 oz. gold; 56 ft. of 0.21 oz. and 43 ft. grading 0.1 oz. gold per ton.
