Redfern confirms extension of Tulsequah deposit at depth

Recent drilling on the Tulsequah Chief property in northwestern British Columbia confirms the massive sulphide deposit extends below current reserves.

Redfern Resources (TSE), 100% owner of the property, is in the process of a minimum $1.5-million drilling program designed to confirm and expand current preliminary reserves estimated at about 8.6 million tons grading 1.6% copper, 1.2% lead, 6.5% zinc, 0.08 oz. gold per ton and 3.2 oz. silver. Hole 92-36 returned three intersections from the H lens including: 60.2-ft. grading 0.80% copper, 1.07% lead, 8.21% zinc, 0.022 oz. gold and 1.95 oz. silver; 13.1 ft. grading 0.38% copper, 0.38% lead, 5.0% zinc, 0.028 oz. gold and 2.25 oz. silver; plus a further 58.7 ft. grading 1.25% copper, 0.85% lead, 6.34% zinc, 0.066 oz. gold and 1.70 oz. silver.

The middle intersection is separated from the upper and lower intersections by 80 ft. and 32 ft. respectively.

Hole 92-36 is about 265 ft. down plunge from hole 91-23, the lowest H-lens intersection, which returned 89.3 ft. grading 1.19% copper, 1.15% lead, 5.43% zinc, 0.11 oz. gold and 4.16 oz. silver.

The second hole in the current program, 92-37, returned two H-lens intersections in the upper portion of the deposit: 16.4 ft. grading 0.05% copper, 1.10% lead, 5.30% zinc, 0.067 oz. gold and 1.47 oz. silver plus a 29.8-ft. intersection grading 1.77% copper, 1.37% lead, 10.67% zinc, 0.12 oz. gold and 2.06 oz. silver.

Redfern had intended to drill the hole further to the west, but it deviated, intersecting the H lens halfway between hole 91-32 and 91-34. Hole 32 intersected 31.8 ft. grading 2.41% copper, 1.12% lead, 2.56% zinc, 0.077 oz. gold and 2.63 oz. silver, while hole 34 intersected 24.9 ft. grading 0.67% copper, 1.46% lead, 9.25% zinc, 0.058 oz. gold and 2.13 oz. silver.

Drilling is continuing on the property with two rigs operating around the clock.

Redfern has completed a detailed surface mapping program on the Tulsequah Chief site and is currently conducting surface mapping on the Big Bull property to the south.
