Plexus reports quarterly loss

Gold producer Plexus Resources (TSE) reported a net loss of US$506,000 in the 1991 first quarter because of adverse weather conditions and the installation of a new conveyor at the joint venture Denton-Rawhide gold mine in Nevada. The company’s gold production totalled 3,686 oz. in the first three months of this year at a direct cost of US$268 per oz. Gold production began in the second quarter of 1990. Plexus also reported that planned operating rates have been maintained since early February at the Denton-Rawhide mine.
