Oasis, Soquem in Gaspe deal

In option deal to explore and develop the Crystal Lake copper property in the Gaspe area of Quebec has been signed by Consolidated Oasis (ME) and Soquem.

The property lies six miles north of the past-producing Madeleine mine. Oasis and Soquem report that a copper showing on the property has been traced along 600 ft. with an average width of 4 ft. A 3.3-ft. intersection assayed 21% copper, the companies say.

A 3,000-ft. drilling program is planned by Soquem, a Quebec Crown mining exploration corporation. The agreement, subject to regulatory approval, calls for Soquem to earn a 50% interest by investing $270,000 by the end of February, 1994.
