Further results from the Lynne project in Wisconsin, where Noranda (TSE) made a major zinc discovery in June, will not be released until Aug. 21, said Walter Nash, director of U.S. exploration. Nash said Noranda has decided to postpone a public announcement until the results from all 12 holes drilled to date are available. He also mentioned that assaying was taking longer than expected. Noranda originally intended to release results during the last week in July.
Nash refused to comment on whether the post-discovery holes look encouraging.
