NEWS ROUNDUP — Western Copper ups Thermal interest

Vancouver-based Western Copper Holdings (TSE) has acquired 4.6 million common shares of Thermal Exploration from Queenston Mining (TSE).

As a consideration, Western Copper has issued to Queenston 600,000 common shares and warrants to buy an additional 400,000 Western Copper shares at $2.70 per share for a 2-year period.

As a result, Western Copper will become the largest single shareholder of Thermal, and Western’s effective interest in the Carmack’s copper project in the Yukon will rise to 65% from 50%.
