Junior Spirit Lake Explorations (ME) has completed two of three previously announced private placements for a gross amount totaling $300,000.
Proceeds will go toward exploring the LaSalle concession in the Anaco district of northern Venezuela.
The 2,000-hectare property is northeast of the Kilometre 88 district. Geochemical and geophysical surveys have defined a gold anomaly 2.5 km long by 100-500 metres wide.
Previous surveys by the Venezuelan government show the anomaly continuing south onto the exploration concession of Tombstone Explorations (VSE). Extensive trenching on Tombstone’s ground has defined a similiar north-south-trending geochemical target. It is estimated to contain up to 46.7 million grams (1.5 million oz.) gold within 25 metres of the surface. Chesbar Resources (TSE), joint-venture partner and operator of LaSalle, is planning trenching and drilling for the new year.
