Project manager Agnico-Eagle Mines (TSE) has finished initial exploration of the Cavelier gold property near Matamagi, Que.
Ownership is split 50-50 between Agnico and Radisson Mining Resources (ME). Stripping has exposed another 30 ft. of a gold-bearing quartz vein, the known length of which is 86 ft. The shear structure that hosts the vein remains open on both sides.
Ten channel samples taken from the vein averaged 1.21 oz. gold per ton over a true thickness of 0.4 ft. Also, mapping has identified several auriferous conjugate veins up to 330 ft. west of the first vein.
Follow-up geophysics and drilling will be carried out in January.
