Drills are turning at El Salado, a gold deposit on the 400,000-hectare Uspallata property in Argentina.
Puma Minerals (VSE), which is earning a half interest in the project from Argentina Mineral Development, drilled 16 holes at El Salado in mid-1995. One of these returned 0.25 gram gold per tonne and 0.5% copper over 59.4 metres; another intersected 0.11 gram gold and 0.53% copper over 45.7 metres.
The current program entails the drilling of 25 holes over an area measuring 1,200 by 1,300 metres.
