NEWS ROUNDUP — HudBay options Sask. copper bet

The exploration unit of Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting (TSE) has optioned a copper property in northern Saskatchewan from Copperquest (CDN).

Previous work at the Knife Lake property outlined a zone of mineralization with a strike length of nearly a mile. Intersections included 6.27% copper over 7 ft., 2.32% over 35.5 ft. and 1.5% over 62.1 ft.

In other news, Copperquest has optioned 12 leased claims in Kidd Twp., near Timmins, Ont. The claims, near the Kidd Creek mine, contain airborne geophysical anomalies which could indicate massive sulphide mineralization. Copperquest hopes to complete a private placement to fund further exploration of its various holdings.
