NEWS ROUNDUP — Flag drills second hole at Wanapitei

Calgary-based Flag Resources (ASE) is drilling a second deep hole in Mackelcan Twp. near Sudbury, Ont., as part of a program to probe the source of the Wanapitei geophysical anomaly.

Now at a depth of more than 2,000 ft., the hole has intersected alteration and quartz brecciation throughout the Huronian sediments overlying the anomaly. Initial assays confirm that surface enrichments of nickel, cobalt and chromium continue at depth.

Flag says the pervasive alteration and mineralization support the company’s interpretation that a mafic igneous intrusion lies under the sedimentary rock cover.
