NEWS ROUNDUP — Drilling under way at Eden Roc play

A 12,000-ft. diamond drill program has begun on Eden Roc Mineral’s (TSE) Afema mine project in Ivory Coast, West Africa.

The 60-hole program is aimed at expanding existing reserves of the Anuiri mine and the adjacent Adiopan and Asupiri-Brahima orebodies. “Visually interesting” mineralization over significant widths in three holes completed to date has prompted the company to add a second drill. Assay results from these holes are pending.

An additional 18,000 ft. of drilling are planned for late 1993 to test three other probable ore zones and several exploration targets on adjacent properties. This program is intended to confirm the continuity of the Anuiri-Asupiri gold system over a strike length of more than 1.5 miles.
