Geological mapping and sampling on the Pilldolla property, 55 miles northwest of here, is outlining a mineralized shear zone.
Aquaterre Mineral Development (VSE) acquired the property to follow up the discovery of mineralized boulders that contain up to 20% pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite, plus 10,000 parts per billion gold. Samples from the boulders graded up to 1.3% copper, 1.7 oz. gold and 3.5 oz. silver per ton. The boulder train led the company to the shear zone, which now measures 3.5-5 miles long.
Additional mapping is planned prior to drilling in 1995.
